Description CME Group is currently looking for a Website Operations Hybrid Intern in based out of Chicago.
This candidate will assist the Website Operations team on day-to-day activities in support of cmegroup.com and it's migration to Google Cloud Platform. This would include updates to cmegroup.com , automated testing, and functional requirements gathering.
This is a paid summer internship for undergraduate students with a desire to apply what they've learned and gain experience in web related technologies.
The principal accountabilities for this position are: - QA and Validate new website services
- Create test scripts to quickly validate new web services
- Document work processes and User Manuals for newly created components
- Write Acceptance criteria for small dev enhancements and validate requirements for production deployment
- Ability to identify issues with web content and provide feedback for site enhancements
- Handle escalations and troubleshooting user concerns as necessary
- Converting old webpages into redesigned templates
- Manage daily website updates using HTML/CSS within our Content Management System (Adobe AEM)
Platform Requirements: - Possess basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript coding, experience with content management systems a plus
- Hands on experience with development/design of web pages/applications using HTML and CSS
- Experience with Java or Python
- Experience using Git/GitHub
- Experience using Rest APIs a plus
- Google/Amazon cloud experience
- Possess strong attention to detail
- Possess high motivation, flexibility, and ability to work on his/her own
- Ability to effectively operate in a team environment
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Experience with responsive design a plus
Education: - Currently pursuing a BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, UX, or IT degree.
Other Requirements: - Hybrid Schedule - able to come into the CME Group Chicago office (located at 20 S Wacker Dr.).
- Able to work 40 hours per week (interns are required to work a minimum of 16 hours per week with a maximum of 40).
