Seeking a Water Treatment Plant Operator that will be responsible for operating, monitoring, maintaining, and repairing a Reverse Osmosis Treatment Facility, Booster Stations, Concentrate Disposal systems, Raw Water Collection System and Finished Water Conveyance line.

Requirements:
- Class “B” Water Treatment Operator Certification or higher and the ability to obtain a Class “A” within 2 test cycles.
- 2+ years of experience working in a water treatment facility with 1+ years of experience working in a Class A water treatment plant installing, maintaining, and operating equipment.
- Thorough knowledge of local, state and federal regulations relating to water operations, including collection and distribution systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, on-call rotation and overtime on short notice.
- Class 3 Distribution Certification and Class 3 Collection Certification preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a background check.
Responsibilities:
- Operates a Reverse Osmosis Treatment Facility including Ultraviolet disinfection, Chlorination and P.H. control.
- Ensures compliance of all State and EPA Regulations.
- Monitors raw water flow rates, finished water flow rates and chemical dosing.
- Performs water quality analysis.
- Utilizes Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) for operations and monitoring of plant performance.
- Maintains plant equipment, raw water pumping equipment and distribution equipment to ensure proper operation of the treatment facility.
- Adjusts chemical feed pumps according to flow and demand changes.
- Operates and performs routine instrument calibration/verification of in-line and bench top analytical equipment.
- Performs maintenance of well house assets and booster pump stations as needed.
- Coordinates and oversees system repairs with contractors.
- Locates infrastructure to prevent damage by contractors.
- Assists the Projects Department and consultants with oversight of projects.
- Utilizes the Asset Management database to record data and workflow.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance as scheduled, and perform job duties with varying schedules, including holidays and weekends, on-call and overtime as needed.
- On-call approximately every 6 weeks.
- Ability to respond to on-call issues within 45 minutes.
- Participates in or leads committee(s) and/or taskforce(s).
- Provides back-up coverage for other positions.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations relating to water operations, including collection and distribution systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and other computer applications including Microsoft Office products.

- Understand and utilize blueprints, schematics, and other layouts; perform math and algebraic equations associated with the water treatment field.
Target salary range: min $27-42 hourly. (Depending on experience and certifications.)
