As a key leader within a nonprofit development and management organization, your responsibilities will encompass:

• Strategic Leadership: Direct the planning, development, management, and execution of construction activities, real estate portfolios, and business strategies for development projects.
• Financial Stewardship: Prepare, conduct, and analyze pro forma and financial models for development projects, ensuring comprehensive oversight of project financing and budgeting.
• Portfolio Expansion: Drive the growth of the organization’s real estate portfolio, identifying and capitalizing on repositioning opportunities.
• Project Management Excellence: Manage and deliver development projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborative Partnerships: Work in collaboration with HUD financing programs, including RAD, and secure state and local funding to support development initiatives.
• Advocacy and Outreach: Promote housing programs to potential development sponsors, attend public meetings, and advocate for affordable housing solutions within the community.
• Regulatory Compliance and Advocacy: Stay informed on regulatory changes and advocate for affordable housing legislation, policies, and procedures that benefit the organization and its mission.
• Community Integration: Coordinate planning activities with the Cities Master Plan and other community planning efforts, ensuring alignment with broader neighborhood and community objectives.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 6 years in innovative financing, financial analysis, and negotiation.

Knowledge Base: In-depth understanding of federal and state regulations, as well as accounting principles and real estate practices.

Regulatory Familiarity: Knowledge of EEO, Section 504, and Section 3 requirements.

Facilitation Skills: Proven ability to lead meetings, bids, and pre-construction conferences with confidence and clarity.

Relationship-Building: Strong skills in establishing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, urban planning, or public administration, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
