Job Description

We are the Thomas School Bus dealer for the State of Florida. We inspect and make all warranty repairs on the buses prior to delivery to the Districts. We also provide some retail repairs for our customers. Our repairs consist mainly of the Thomas body, Freightliner Chassis, Cummins engine and AC. We do not work on internal engines, transmissions or do any body work. Must have some shop tech experience and be willing to learn. Inspector certificate and CDL are preferred, but not required. Must have the own tools. Specialty tools provided. WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON! Valid, Clean drivers license, background check and drug test required. • Diagnose and Repair School Buses
• Inspect School buses
• Document work and repairs performed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a shop setting required.
• DOE Inspector experience (preferred)
• CDL (preferred)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
