In a collaborative partnership with the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Liberty Healthcare provides quality assurance for Home and Community-Based Services (HBCS) waivers for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
Services include incident and complaint investigations and reporting; mortality reviews, continuous quality management; HCBS provider oversight, technical assistance, and supports to help Indiana become an employment first state.
As Liberty Healthcare’s Mortality Review Nurse, the downstream impact of your work will contribute to the advancement of systemic quality improvement initiatives that positively impact the health and well-being of a significant number of older adults and people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will primarily involve reviewing myriad source documents related to the death and preceding medical care and health conditions of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Your analysis of findings and expert opinion will then enable you to produce comprehensive summary reports which will be required within specific timeframes. Additional responsibilities will include participating in various committees and stakeholder meetings.
This position comes with a high degree of autonomy and will allow you to work remotely from your home office.

To qualify for this position, you must be an Indiana resident and also be licensed professionally in Indiana as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Experience in areas related to quality assurance, utilization review, clinical investigations, mortality review, and / or services for people who have disabilities is preferred.
