Job Title: Project Manager (Hybrid Eligible)
Overview:

The Project Management Office seeks a Project Management Specialist to contribute to project management efforts on large-scale scientific research and development projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support principal investigators or project directors in facilitating and coordinating project activities, project reporting, sponsor communication, and other duties as assigned by project leadership.
  • Work with project staff to develop and maintain schedules, cost estimates, assist with risk identification, and change control.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the project with schedule and cost maintenance and status, and forecasting and assist in generating monthly reports on project status and performance;
  • Perform ad-hoc activities as directed by the principal investigator or project director;
  • Support the project management staff in preparing for various project reviews, including internal and external project status reviews.
  • Deliver client mission by aligning behaviors, priorities, and interactions with our core values of Impact, Integrity, Teamwork, Safety, and Service. Qualifications Required:
  • BS/BA in project management, business, engineering or equivalent
  • Five years of applicable experience.
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be capable of working independently on complex tasks in support of team members.
  • Possess advanced competence in Microsoft applications
Qualifications Desired:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or equivalent.
  • Possess a solid understanding of project management best practices and competence creating project schedules, performing resource loading, incorporating monthly status, and creating and maintaining the project baseline.
  • Demonstrated ability of successful work in an interdisciplinary project environment and/or scientific collaboration that includes participants from academia, national laboratories, and other scientific organizations.
  • Exceptional communications skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Experience working with senior level customers.
  • Experience working on large and/or complex projects.
Job Title: Project Management Specialist - Entry Level (Hybrid Eligible)

The Project Management Office (PMO) seeks a Project Management Specialist to contribute to project management efforts on large-scale scientific research and development projects.
