River Crossing YMCA is looking to hire a Personal Trainer!

Personal Trainer Salary : $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Personal Trainer Hours : 5 hours per week. Shifts available: Weekdays and weekends, all shifts- mornings, evenings and daytime.

Personal Trainer Responsibilities :

• Conducts personal training sessions including consultations and exercise programming
• Monitors and maintains an inviting, clean and safe environment while assisting members with exercise techniques
• Coaches members in support of their desired behavior change
• Regularly checks on member progress and answers questions related to goal achievement
• Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members
• Conducts post-enrollment interviews to understand new members definition of wellbeing, goals, cultural background, healthcare needs, diverse abilities and interests, and develops plans to meet individual needs
• Accurately track client sessions by following YMCA protocols and ACSM guidelines
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Personal Trainer Qualifications :

• Certified Personal Training certification required (NASM, ACE, ACSM or equivalent)
• CPR, AED and First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire
• One year of personal training experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field highly preferred
• Ability to adapt to member needs and goals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals
