Job Title: OB Scrub Tech CWR

Location: Neptune, NJ, 07754

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (3 x 12-hour shifts)

• Weekends as scheduled
• Holidays as scheduled
• No on-call requirement

Job Summary:

The OB Scrub Technician is certified or grandfathered to work in the Surgical Suite and performs duties under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse. This multi-skilled position involves direct and indirect patient care in the antepartum and postpartum settings, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and ensuring readiness of instruments and supplies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting nursing staff in providing care as directed by the RN.
• Ordering and stocking supplies for OR, PACU, labor rooms, and related areas.
• Maintaining sterile technique in the operating room, assisting with procedures such as Cesarean sections and hysterectomies, and managing instrument counts.
• Communicating patient information and changes in condition to the nurse.
• Responding to patient requests and call lights in a timely manner.
• Ensuring patient belongings are stored and transferred safely.
• Assisting with emergency situations using calm behavior and appropriate judgment.
• Maintaining equipment and supplies for effective patient outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience:  Minimum 1 year of prior OB Tech or Surgical Tech experience in an acute care setting.

Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Certifications & Licensure:

• Certified OB Technician
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA

Languages:  English (Speak, Read, Write)
