Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to manage our local fleet operations. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the daily activities of our drivers and fleet to ensure smooth and efficient deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and dispatch drivers to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs.
• Monitor the status of trucks and deliveries to ensure timely execution and address any issues that arise.
• Communicate with drivers, providing necessary information and support throughout their routes.
• Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, including driver logs, trip reports, and delivery details.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all vehicles are properly serviced and safe for operation.
• Handle emergency situations and implement contingency plans to resolve issues quickly.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving any transportation-related concerns.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dispatcher or in a similar logistics role, preferably in the trucking industry.
• Strong understanding of local and regional transportation regulations and logistics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with dispatch and logistics software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or transportation is a plus.
