Job Description

As a Designer on the Brand & UI Design team at 829, you will play an influential role in shaping the design direction for your projects, establishing you as a reliable and versatile creative. By leveraging your passion for design thinking, commitment to best practices, and engaging presentation style, you will help to raise the bar on all of your projects.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with a talented multi-disciplinary team of experts to create compelling websites and distinctive brand identities for a diverse client base spanning a variety of industries
• Own the design phase of small projects, with senior level oversight
• Address business goals while combining user-centered design principles with a highly branded visual aesthetic
• Present design deliverables and express design thinking during weekly client calls
• Track project hours, adhere to project timelines, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment
• Balance multiple projects of varying scope, duration, and complexity
• Actively contribute to discussions on process improvements and enhancements
• Embrace a growth mindset and develop an understanding of industry best practices and current design trends

What You’ll Bring

• 2+ years of experience in an agency or similar environment
• An impressive portfolio showcasing a variety of UI design and branding projects
• Experience with Figma, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Ability to effectively communicating the why behind design decisions
• Familiarity with UI/UX methodologies including user personas, user journeys, user flows, user testing, wireframes, and prototypes
• Understanding of grids, spacing, hierarchy, and composition
• A detail-oriented approach and a strong commitment to produce quality work
