WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

This position is part of the Division of Alaska State Troopers and functions as the primary evidence custodian for the Nome and Unalakleet posts. In this role, you will provide technical support to commissioned personnel in the area of property and evidence management by: receiving and logging evidence, ensuring proper handling and storage of evidence, quality control to include maintaining chain-of-custody, preparing evidece and necessary documentation to be sent to federal and state laboratories, preparing evidece for court, and overseeing retention or disposal of evidence as appropriate. This position also provides secondary administrative support to commissioned personnel.

This position is located and works full-time out of the Alaska State Trooper post located in Nome, Alaska. The work environment is friendly, team oriented and productive.

AT TIME OF INTERVIEW

  • Copies of college transcripts, if using education to qualify.


BACKGROUND CHECK

This position requires the incumbent to submit to a fingerprint based criminal history background check. Due to the sensitive nature of this position, and required access to APSIN, an applicant with criminal convictions will not move forward in the selection process.
