Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance and Licensing Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills to support our team in maintaining regulatory compliance and managing licensing documentation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking licensing deadlines, assisting with audits, and ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.

Hours:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday during our core hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

What you'll do:

  • Support licensing processes by working with state regulators as requested by the Director of Compliance;
  • Respond to inquiries from state and federal regulatory agencies;
  • Prepare and file licensing renewals and annual reports;
  • Research state guidelines as requested on compliance and licensing issues;
  • Help maintain licensing calendar;
  • Maintain contact list for all state regulators for DB & SBF;
  • Maintain a spreadsheet of state licenses and filing requirements for all licenses and registrations;
  • Maintain files on SharePoint
  • Assist with auditing calls

What we are looking for:

  • High School Degree (required).
  • 1 year of debt settlement, banking, mortgage underwriting or consumer lending experience**
  • Detail oriented.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects, prioritize projects, and drive projects to completion.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able work with the given timeline of the licensing projects.
  • Overtime work may be required during busy season (November through May).
  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, OneDrive, Windows OS, and CRMs.
