The Manager, Communications will be responsible for building content for the channels associated with several of the restaurants and bars at the Seaport in Lower Manhattan, including the Tin Building by Jean-Georges, Malibu Farm New York, Pearl Alley and The Fulton. Additionally, this role will oversee the channels and communication for pop-up concepts. This role works closely with marketing leadership to create and execute the content strategy across web, email and paid marketing campaigns. The role requires a strong attention to detail, ability to project manage, an understanding of brand guidelines, tone of voice and design aesthetics and collaboration with internal and external partners to ensure brand standards are maintained. The role requires some copywriting and works with several 3rd party agencies & freelancers.



  • Manage all email content including copy and photo selection. Multiple emails are deployed weekly across all channels and require working with our external partner to deploy. QA-ing all links and content is crucial.
  • Work with external partner to build email strategy that includes testing, segmentation, database integrity and automation.
  • Manage regular updates to websites, ensuring content is continuously refreshed and is accurate. Work with external development team to implement any coding changes required to make processes more efficient. Ensure all web content includes SEO best practices, ADA accessibility requirements, correct links & fonts and more.
  • Write brand aligned copy for various channels and work with external copywriters on campaign copy needs, ensuring the tone of voice remains on brand & consistent for each channel.
  • Partner with internal creative team to design required assets for email, web and paid campaigns. Submit all creative briefs and work alongside project manager to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within budget and align with brand standards.
  • Collaborate with the creative team for photo & video shoots, ensuring content that is needed for web, email & paid is captured regularly and that selects are properly noted in internal systems.
  • Execute paid media strategies and manage the content related to all paid campaigns including print, OOH and paid digital, ensuring content remains on brand.
  • Work closely with Social Media team to ensure comms are aligned with consistency in language, creative and that the customer journey is connected.
  • Collaborate with third party agencies including email, digital media, copywriter, and others as needed.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested


  • Strong project management and organization skills, must be able to juggle multiple deadlines at once
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for brand standards
  • Proactive, a team-player and effective in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of email marketing platforms, including Mailchimp
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is helpful
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Knowledge of Wordpress, SEO and Google Analytics
  • Basic knowledge of Bento Box is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Mailchimp is referred.

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to stand for prolong periods of time and climb steps regularly.
  • Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.



The base pay range for this position is $75,000.00-$95,000.00 annually. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
