Job Description
We are currently looking for an associate attorney specializing in Employment Law litigation to join our prestigious boutique law firm. This full-time role is ideal for a dedicated and driven professional with at least 5 years of defense litigation experience in employment law. The ideal candidate will have a solid academic background and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and the ability to manage the daily demands of a team-oriented environment are essential.
Our firm's Employment Group offers comprehensive advice and counseling services to employers throughout the North Bay and beyond. The successful candidate will provide counsel on hiring, firing, and disciplinary issues, create handbooks, contracts, and general employment policies, assist with and conduct investigations, and represent clients in litigation and administrative hearings. Qualifications:
At least 5 years of litigation experience with California employment law
Proficiency in drafting/responding to pleadings and discovery, and drafting/arguing motions
Experience in taking and defending depositions
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to learn and integrate feedback
Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and manage a high-volume workload
JD from an ABA accredited law school
Member in good standing with the California Bar (or prompt admission)
Trial experience is a plus, though not required
