Statesboro Campus - Statesboro, GA
The Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology
The Student Assistant will support Criminal Justice & Criminology as a Research Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2024.
The Research Assistant will work on a research project about Black Immigrant Integration in the U.S. South. The project has been approved by the Georgia Southern University IRB. The Research Assistant will help collect and clean data and help with other research-related tasks. The Research Assistant will write analytic memos, maintain detailed records, and keep in regular communication with the research team. The Research Assistant will also be asked to help with other research-related tasks as needed, which may include traveling to the local courthouse to collect quantitative case processing data from their on-site computers.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Employment is contingent upon funding.
