Job Summary:

The Athletics Department at Marist College invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position as an Assistant Coach for Women's Basketball. The Assistant Coach will assist the Head Women’s Basketball Coach with all aspects of the NCAA Division I intercollegiate women's basketball program. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assist Women’s Basketball staff with day-to-day administrative needs; coordinate team travel and logistics; coordinate filming of practices and games; manage equipment; coordinate use of facilities and oversee student managers. The Assistant Coach will organize and run summer camps. This role will also include providing technical and tactical instruction and mentoring to student-athletes, and on and off campus recruiting.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Valid driver's license

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate team travel and logistics
  • Day to Day administrative needs of the program
  • Oversee team managers
  • Organize team film exchange and filming of games and practices
  • Assist with organization and running of summer camp
  • On Court instruction / Scouting / Player Development

    • Typical eligibility requirements: 1 year of service and 1,000 hours with Marist College.
  • 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity – Roth option available. Voluntary, up to IRS maximum contribution.
  • Tuition Benefits:
    • Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26.
    • College pays 100% tuition only.
    • Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution.

*Eligibility requirements including waiting periods and/or employee probationary periods may apply at the discretion of the College.
